Role: HR Director
Location: Chesapeake, Virginia
Salary: $120,000
A global software leader is offering the opportunity for an HR Director to join their team. The ideal candidate will act as a hands-on employee champion and a leader of change. You will plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's human resource function and performance.
Responsibilities of the HR Director:
- Provide overall leadership and guidance by overseeing talent acquisition, employee career development, succession planning, retention programs, training and leadership development
- Function as a strategic, human capital business advisor to the senior management team
- Hands-on management of a 4 person HR team
- Develop initiatives, policies and programs to complement existing practices and create consistency across the organization
- Oversee benefit and compensation plans to ensure cost efficiencies and attractiveness to retain top talent
Requirements of the HR Director:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human resources or management
- 7+ years' of Corporate experience leading an HR team
- HR leadership across an international company
- Drive to be hands-on with management of HR team
- Prior expertise building an HR function from scratch
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
