Job Description:

We are a rapidly growing organization in the Pearl River, NY area. We are seeking to hire a Director of Human Resources to join our team of proactive and innovative professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities:

Supporting an average of 75-100 employees

Strategic focus on HR infrastructure

Creating HR policies and procedures

Manage the Staffing and Recruitment

Managing a company's candidate evaluation process

Ensuring that the company's procedures comply with employment regulations

Monitoring various aspects of employee performance, such as attendance and sick leave

Designing and implementing training programs based on assessed needs

Handling any disciplinary processes and formal grievances

Setting and reviewing pay structures and employee perks and benefits

Maintaining employee benefits programs including annual health insurance renewals, competitive leveling and employee communication

Manage HR employees

Manage Staffing Agency/Recruiter relationships

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned

Prepare FMLA paperwork as needed

Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements

Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures

Maintain organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes

Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely

Job Requirements:

7+ years in Human Resources Management

Human Resources certification highly preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalize ideas

Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate staff

A solid understanding of the key principles of employment law

The ability to remain calm in stressful situations including during disciplinary hearings or staff conflicts

Solid ethics and morals and sound judgment

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor

Possess strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills

Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality

Must be a team player
