Human Resources General Manager
Description:
a leader in the manufacturing of Automatic Transmissions is hiring for a high performing and experienced General Manager of Human Resources. This position will report to the VP of Administration and will be responsible for the HR Staff and the overall operations of the HR function for the Manufacturing facility located in Cibolo, Texas.
This position sits at the top of the HR Department and takes the lead when it comes to any and all human resources matters and functions. This HR General Manager must educate, train, monitor, problem solve, and ensure company HR policies are followed across all employees, managers, and executives. Additionally, the HR General Manager's responsibilities include directing `and overseeing the hiring, training, and dismissal processes and administering and monitoring benefits programs.
In your role as a human resources leader and expert, you will use your expertise to immerse yourself in the company's culture and people, evaluate the existing structures and implement best practices, systems, and areas for improvement. Through thoughtful collaboration and involvement with the HR Manager, you will work within the company to develop talent to meet the longer-term strategic business objectives. A qualified candidate is someone who has managed human resources at an expert level but has also hands-on experience in the different human resources functions.
Job Skill Requirements
+ Developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.
+ Manage and collaborate with the HR Manager and staff ensuring that they are assigned and carrying out proper tasks.
+ Developing and administering various human resources plans and procedures for all TMs.
+ Leading the development of the HR department goals, objectives and systems.
+ Establishing department KPIs and systems to track and visualize results.
+ Ensuring consistent policy implementation.
+ Building relationships with all employees in order to foster a more open and communicative environment that provides support to all employees in relation to understanding the company and its policies.
+ Grasping employee opinions to understand their concerns and address quickly to minimize morale impact.
+ Meets with employees to discuss questions or issues pertaining to company policies and/or labor issues and makes recommendations that effectively resolve problems, by using judgment consistent with company standards, policies, and procedures.
+ Understand all employment laws and standards and provide appropriate direction.
+ Understanding Compensation Strategies and how to develop those strategies.
+ Ability to analyze data and determine appropriate countermeasures.
+ Ability to lead the company in utilizing performance management tools to drive the passionate pursuit of increased employee development.
+ Execute other items upon request by the company.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field.
+ 10 to 12 years' experience in Human Resources Management.
+ 7+ years in HR leadership/supervisory experience.
+ 5+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
+ Human Resources Certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
+ Comprehensive understanding of all employment laws and standards.
+ Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
+ Honest, ethical, and dependable.
+ Self-motivated, self-directing, strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
+ Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Knowledgeable in HR business systems applications.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Power point, etc.), able to create documents, graphs, and databases.
