Litehouse is hiring a full-time HR Generalist I for our team in Danville, VA! The HR Generalist I is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with other members of the HR team and partners with the manufacturing team for the overall mission of the organization. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas; onboarding, full-cycle recruitment and employment law compliance. What you will do:
- Lead full-cycle recruitment & onboarding for all hourly positions including pre-screening candidate, coordinating in-person interviews with management, completing offers, and overseeing the administration and maintenance of new hire paperwork.
- Proactively adjust and use various creative hiring methods and strategies to seek out candidates and ensure hiring goals are achieved.
- Prepare and deliver new hire and benefit orientation and new hire; 401(k), medical/dental/prescription plan, ESOP overview, vacation/sick plan, voluntary plans available and other benefits offered, including verifying I-9 and E-Verify.
- Partner with leaders to help identify hiring needs and provide expertise in hiring and talent planning.
- Collaborate with staffing agencies to fill temporary positions.
- Responsible for administrative function of human resources for compliance.
- Assist with compliance audits.
- Assist with all company events.
- Works closely with internal team and leadership to cultivate a positive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Answer non-employee relation questions pertaining to HR and respond to requests in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- PHR or CP and/or SPHR or SCP strongly preferred
- 3+ years of HR experience and recruiting, in manufacturing environment a plus
- Experienced with ADP, ADP recruitment module and HRIS a plus.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws
- Ability to accurately record and maintain important information and documentation
- Must be detailed-oriented, possess a high degree of accuracy and work well under pressure
- Ability to work closely with operations team for overall success of the plant
- Must be able to flex schedule as needed for a 24/7 plant operation
- Must have a passion and urgency of understanding the success of the business
- Ability to meet or exceed strict deadlines
- Sound judgement and critical thinking
- Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas effectively and efficiently in the common language
- Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Able to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidential information
