Administrative - Position - Human ResourcesJob Number 230#######Start DateOpen Date 02/20/2024Closing DatePosition Overview: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing HR duties such as recruiting, maintaining accurate records of job openings, applications, screening, hiring/staffing, onboarding, and administrative functions in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). The HR Generalist reports to the Associate Superintendent of HR and facilitates the overall HR process.Essential Responsibilities* Serve as a strategic partner to support hiring managers in planning for and assignment of staff, including projected vacancies, transfer actions, long-term substitute assignments, and other staffing decision making.* Participate in the recruitment of staff through job fairs and other recruitment events.* Implement screening and selection procedures and finalize candidate eligibility before final processing.* Guide new hires through the onboarding process to ensure timely completion.* Utilize all HR information systems and technology to improve efficiency and services provided.* Collaborate with the benefits team to keep employees informed of options and important timelines during onboarding, open enrollment, and various leaves of absence.* Collaborate with employee relations staff to support hiring managers throughout performance management processes; resolve employee issues with the support of employee relations as a team-centered approach; assist with disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.* Update applicants? status/disposition throughout the application process.* Distribute job offers and next steps in the hiring process.* Maintain accurate job descriptions by revising as positions evolve.* Complete personnel action forms.* Assist with resolving issues of concern or conflict appropriately and promptly.Minimum Qualifications* 3+ years of experience in Human Resources and;* Bachelor's Degree required in Human Resources, Business, Business Administration, or related field.* HR certification preferredDuty Days 240Reports To Associate SuperintendentJob Attachment View AttachmentThe State does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, sex, sexual orientation, religious preference, marital status, disability, national origin, or any other reason prohibited by state or federal law.
