DIVISION/LOCATION:Allura USAPOSITION TITLE:Human Resources Generalist and RecruiterREPORTS TO TITLE:Vice President of Human ResourcesGENERAL FUNCTIONThe Generalist - Recruiter of Human Resources involve a blend of strategic and operational tasks that support the overall HR function and contribute to a positive organizational culture. An HR Generalist focuses more on employee relations and compliance, also the Recruiter part emphasizes sourcing and hiring top talent. main function is to create and implement people strategies to help an organization achieve its goals. They are often the primary point of contact for employees and are involved in many aspects of the employee life cycle.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Provide sourcing, recruitment, selection coordination, offering, and on-boarding to qualified personnel; assist with the coordination of transfers and promotions of existing employees.Establish and implement recruiting strategies.Drive the organization to build and maintain active candidate pipelines for hard-to-fill and high-volume positions.Research, analyze, prepare and present hiring statistics. Prepare reports, documenting activities, outcomes, challenges, and relevant statistics. Evaluate statistics, recommending follow-up planning, new approaches, and expected outcomes.Acceptable use and management of 3rd party vendors.Provides periodic training/refresher training on recruiting topics (effective use of Job Boards, obtaining leads and referrals, etc.)Provide candidate quality screening as needed to gauge team effectiveness and improve client hiring ratios.Supports Operations and HR Plant Managers by facilitating onboarding activities (from the candidate acceptance stage to the candidate's start date). Responsible for addressing HR related issues with employees, such as: benefits, vacation, sick leave or other employee concerns.Responsible for setting up the background check and drug screens; coordinates and monitors process with outside vendors.Works closely with VP HR on HR special projects.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
