Human Resource Generalist Role:
The Human Resource Generalist will manage the daily operations of the HR department, including recruitment and staffing, administering compensation, benefits, and leave, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. The role will also support the timely and constructive performance evaluation process.
Recruits, interviews, and assists in hiring qualified candidates for open positions, working closely with department managers to identify the skills and qualifications required.
Conducts or coordinates background checks and verifies employee eligibility.
Leads new hire orientation and develops employee recognition initiatives.
Executes routine HR functions, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave administration, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, performance and talent management, employee engagement, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
Responds to employee and supervisor inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures, directing complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate personnel.
Participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Advises management on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, offering guidance on best practices.
Stays informed of HR trends, best practices, regulatory updates, and advancements in talent management and employment law.
Performs additional duties as needed.
Human Resource Generalist Background Profile:
A Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Skilled in prioritizing tasks and delegating when necessary.
Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and discretion in all actions.
In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Ability to quickly learn and navigate the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
