Job Title: Human Resources Assistant Specialist

Location: Danville, KY

Duration: 6 months (May extend depending on the client needs)

Work schedule: 1st shift 7:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: $28.00 - $31.00 an hour (Actual offer will depend on experience)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations, providing guidance and support to employees and managers.
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints and conflicts, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Promote a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Manage recruitment activities, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and nurture talent within the organization.
  • Facilitate performance evaluations, providing coaching and feedback to support employee growth.
  • Identify and assess leadership development needs to design and implement targeted programs.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on best practices and employee management.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to foster leadership development.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR documentation.
  • Oversee benefits administration, including enrollment, claims resolution, and employee communication.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma but prefer a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on employee relations, talent management, and leadership
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and MUST HAVE PeopleSoft experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a PLUS.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • MUST HAVE an Aerospace or Automotive Experience.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
