We are currently seeking a well-rounded HR Generalist with benefits, recruiting, employee relations, and leaves of absence experience to join our HR team. Ability to travel in the Tri-state area.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes including conducting orientations, updating new hire documents and presentations, logistical set-up, scheduling and conducting benefit exit meetings.
  • Process new hire paperwork, employee status changes and maintain employee personnel files via ADP.
  • Assist Sr. Recruiter with job postings, background checks, temp requests, referral checks, and Summer Internship program.
  • Process Workers Compensation claims including entering claims in NavRisk Portal, following up with managers, liaise with insurance carriers and updating reports in a timely manner.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding company policies.
  • Assist Sr. HR Manager with all aspects of benefit administration including billing, open enrollment, and wellness events.
  • Administer FMLA and ADA leave of absences.
  • Process temp employee invoices on a weekly basis.
  • Identify process improvement possibilities, share ideas and best practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned and requested.
  • Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or other related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of HR Generalist experience.
  • Experience working in a mid-to-large company.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
  • Strong knowledge of federal & state (primarily NY, NJ, FL) employment laws.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize with high efficiency.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to always maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) is preferred, but not required.
