Fueled by growth and recent acquisitions, this industry-leading company is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support, onboard and integrate employees from newly acquired businesses. The Human Resources Generalist will be part of the HR team and will report directly to the VP of HR. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the following duties:
This is a dynamic manufacturing environment, a culture like no other. Candidates should feel comfortable challenging the norm on a daily basis, finding better ways, improving HR functions and working in a department that enjoys learning and being collaborative. This is a salary, day shift position that will occasionally require candidates to participate in and support off-shift activities. There is not any remote work available for this position. This is a salaried position with 401K, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, medical, dental, vision, vacation and paid holidays.
Travel Requirement: Initially there will be a requirements of 50% travel, this will balance out at 25-30% travel across the country and Canada. You will go where the next acquisition is!
Requirements for the Human Resources Generalist:
1. Bachelor's degree, preferably in a human resources-related discipline
2. 3–5 years of HR generalist experience
3. Proven experience in HR within manufacturing, distribution and/or warehousing environments
4. Broad HR expertise, including recruitment, compliance, employment law, employee relations, benefits administration, etc.
5. Willingness to travel up to 50% initially, with long-term travel averaging 25–30%
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Teams, Word and Excel
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. PHR or SPHR certification
2. HRIS system experience
3. Implementation of payroll software
Candidates are preferred to be local to the Piqua, Ohio area. There is not a relocation package available at this time.
