The Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in preparing the organization for future success and long-term growth. This generalist role will provide leadership and practical experience to achieve talent and human resources objectives to propel the organization forward. Responsible for full cycle recruitment to include sourcing, screening, interviewing, and managing employment offers in a compliant manner.
Onsite position at the corporate office.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (position responsibilities):
While the Human Resources Generalist is talent focused, this position serves as an HR generalist and assists in managing employee relations, policy implementation and developing innovative recruitment, retention and career / leadership programs. Knows how to properly prioritize multiple daily responsibilities while building strategies to objectives.
Experienced in managing employee relations matters and internal investigations to ensure objectivity and mitigate risk.
Responsible for maintaining open position requisitions for full lifecycle recruitment to include posting and updating position advertisements, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference / background evaluations and employment offers while ensuring compliance.
Creates accurate data/metrics reports based on recruitment activities and identifies trends to drive and influence decisions and solutions.
Develops sourcing strategies to grow the talent pipeline and advertising efforts to increase visibility to position openings. Committed to attracting and retaining a diverse workforce to create better teams and better solutions.
Responsible for obtaining an in-depth knowledge of job specifications necessary to identify candidates who meet the essential position requirements.
Provide up-to-date, accurate, and value-added market intelligence on trends affecting the labor market and local economic conditions.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and deliver consistent, timely and thorough communication on status of requisitions, candidate quality and candidate pipeline. Guide the manager through the hiring process and consistently deliver results.
Ensures best in class candidate experience through aligned processes across all levels of the applicant experience. Manage candidate progression through the offer and hire process, and serve as the point of contact to candidates through their start date.
Generate new hire employment offer letters and agreements and will assist in designing competitive offer packages and developing programs to reward and retain talent.
Responsible for the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure data integrity is maintained.
Establish external recruitment vendor relationships and manage performance.
Manage employee referral program including documentation and bonus payouts.
Manages annual EEOC and Affirmative Action reporting and assists with policy development to maintain compliance across multiple states.
Provides data-driven insights and recommendations to inform decision-making.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred with minimum 3-5 years progressive experience in human resources with increasing responsibility. Experienced in talent acquisition conducting full lifecycle recruitment for management, administrative and warehouse positions, or equivalent experience in talent acquisition and HR disciplines.
Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with an ATS, job boards and social media to engage talent.
Demonstrated knowledge of broad concepts, policies, procedures and employment laws / legal compliance related to human resources and the talent acquisition process.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to listen and adapt messages and resolve concerns.
A highly visible position with excellent relationship building and consultative skills. Must know how to convey important company information to prospective candidates and team members and communicate hiring decisions.
Skilled at gauging the potential of prospective candidates.
Time management and organizational skills essential to manage in a fast-paced environment. Knows how to prioritize, multi-task and follow-up with a sense of urgency in a timely manner.
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office - in particular Excel) with accuracy and attention to detail.
Analytical and knows how to prepare and interpret data and recommend solutions.
Ability to adapt and change in a fast-paced environment.
Enjoys working independently and on a team.
Possess a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
CIR, ACIR, CDR, CSSR, CSMR, SHRM-CP or HRIC-PHR certifications are great assets, but not required.
