Human Resources Generalist Location: Fort Wayne, IN Level: Salary Division/Department: Administration/Human Resources Report to position: Director of Human ResourcesThe HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions and divisions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations and retention, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, succession planning, recruitment/employment and employee law compliance. Travel to each assigned RSC a minimum of twice per year, attend Market as may be necessary to assist in training ResponsibilitiesConducts recruitment effort for exempt and non-exempt personnel, conducts new employee orientations; monitors career-pathing initiatives; and writes and places advertisements online.Administers various human resource policies and procedures for all personnel across the entire company; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timelines and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information.Coordinates with managers in assigned divisions to monitor and improve employee performance by identifying and clarifying issues through performance management measures (counseling actions, annual reviews, etc.).Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action.Travels to assigned RSCs as necessary to communicate policies, benefits (healthcare, Fidelity, retirement, FMLA, ADA, etc.) and administer required training.Compile wage information for the RSC locations to assist in setting the wage rates for the RSC locations each fiscal year.Compile articles for monthly Family Newsletter.Develop, assist and conduct quarterly Leaders' Toolbox training for FW and RSC Managers.
