Additionally, employees must be willing to lead and/or participate in Bible study, prayer, devotions and sharing the Gospel.SUMMARY OF POSITION:The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for implementing proactive recruitment strategies as well as seeking out, engaging and communicating with potential new hires through the UGM website, employee referrals, on-site recruiting and designated job boards. They schedule and conduct initial interviews, send out reference checks and uploads all information into HRIS system, as well as assists in Onboarding.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Key Result Area #1: Recruiting & Onboarding
- Select individuals for the interview phase; perform initial interviews by phone, Zoom or in person.
- Schedule secondary interviews with hiring managers.
- Ensure a KLLP assessment is completed as candidates advance to the second interview.
- Document and verify experience and background by checking references and credentials in relation to Spiritual and career related relationships.
- Remain in communication with hiring managers to determine whether a job offer should be made, and assure Hiring Managers have documented all information
- Manage documentation of all interviews.
- Help secure employee essentials for the first day of employment based on EE position (i.e., request systems network profile, computer/laptop, keys, business cards, name tag, door plate, phone setup, and training in Waypoint, Safety training, etc.
Key Result Area #2: Other Responsibilities
- Participate in monthly personnel meetings.
- Help facilitate New Hire Orientation meetings.
- Other duties as assigned to facilitate the team and/or UGM
- Help with Employee Onboarding and participate in presentations to new employees
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grounded and committed Christian: able and willing to model servant-leadership and interested in being part of a ministry to the poor, homeless, drug addicted and mentally ill.
- Active member of the body of Christ, in accordance with the Union Gospel Mission Statement of Purpose, Statement of Vision and Statement of Faith.
- Strong Interpersonal skills - exercise compassion and discernment while modeling the teachings of Jesus Christ.
- Able and willing to honor the leadership, chain of command, standards and ministry objectives of Union Gospel Mission.
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, Web Browser, Office 365, UKG Ready HR); able to complete documents, build tables, and accurately record information. Willing to continue education as needed or required.
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and instructional.
- Must have a teachable spirit and the ability to manage multiple task at the same time. Be able to listen, and make sound HR related decisions in alignment with UGM's purpose.
- Insightful, trustworthy, honest, reliable, model appropriate boundaries, and strong work ethic.
- Criminal background check clearance - required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, and 0 - 2 years of experience in related HR field, or some combination of related education and experience. - Required
