Maya Hotels | 8632 Wilkinson Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28214Job Overview:This is an on-site position working closely with the benefits coordinator and VP. The HR generalist position assists with maintaining HRIS systems, full cycle talent acquisitions, and updating employee information accordingly to meet payroll deadlines. This role will be responsible for various research projects, and maintaining personnel records in compliance with company policies and, federal and state laws. Responsibilities:
- Owns full cycle recruiting process. Including but not limited to :
- Consults with department managers to assess recruiting needs
- Sources and recruits new employees
- Coordinate interviews
- Pre-screens and onboard all new hires
- Enters and maintains all new hire entries into HRIS
- Maintains reporting standards and compliance
- Assist with maintaining the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to ensure accurate record keeping
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns
- Facilitate conflict resolution and provide support for employee relations issues.
- Maintain employment compliance posters
- Onboard new hires, verifying all new hire paperwork and processes are completed
- Manage all worker compensation and guest liability claims
- Administer employee benefits programs and respond to benefits-related inquiries
- Support the Maya Hotels team with various administrative tasks and projects
- Plan and execute community events
- Manage labor relations and represent the hotel in grievances, mediations, arbitrations, and contract negotiations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, or two+ years of Human Resources experience required
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Excellent time management skills; organized and able to prioritize
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suites products
- PHR or SHRM certification preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
