ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop innovative recruiting strategies to attract top talent.Conducts onboarding process making changes to the program as needed to keep it engaging and fresh. Organize and facilitate employee training programs and training grants.Maintains accurate data in HRIS system.Assist with the development and implementation of personnel policies.Evaluates the company's competitive position on benefits and compensation by participating in local and national benefit and compensation surveys. Assist with the facilitation of employee benefits including plan review and new plan design. Ensures compliance with COBRA by preparing and maintaining all necessary documentation and processing COBRA payments.Process and administer all leave of absence requests and disability paperwork including FMLA.Works closely with the management team and supervisors providing support and coaching on employee relations issues, policy interpretation, and enforcement.Ensures compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to personnel matters.Conducts workplace investigations to resolve employee relations issues.Assists in managing the Company's safety programs including creating and reviewing safety programs, administering or facilitating safety trainings and generates OSHA reports.Assist in maintaining DOT compliance for the Company's drivers.Manages workers compensation claims and return to work programs.Prepares employee separation notices and related termination documentation and handles all unemployment claims. RequirementsQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Knowledge of HR principles including legal compliance issues and employment law.
- Knowledge of employee benefits plans and benefits administration.
- The ability to exercise independent judgement and discretion in dealing with employee relations issues.
- Must possess a high level of integrity and understand the importance of employee confidentiality.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- A strong self-starter with the ability to work independently or as a part of a team.
- The ability to establish constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
- Computer skills as they pertain to this job including but not limited to the use of an ERP system and Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately based on the need of your audience in both oral and written forms.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations or similar degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Salary Description $60,000 - $65,000 annually
