Job Description:
Human Resources GeneralistResponsibilities:
  • Assists with reviewing, tracking, and documenting compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Assists with recruits, interviews, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employment eligibility verifications.
  • Leads new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Assists with handling employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Handles all aspects of company event planning meeting strict deadlines, budget demands, and coordination of all moving parts.
  • Maintains company social media accounts and dedicates time to growing them.
  • Assists the pharmacy teams with developing company marketing materials for distribution.
  • Identifies press opportunities, writes press releases, and prepares media kits for distribution to media.
  • Acts as a resource for the Google Platform and provides training as needed.
  • This position is a safety sensitive position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive HR experience preferred
  • Proficient with technology (Google Drive, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player who can quickly develop relationships across the organization
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by employees
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
Physical Demands:
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear
  • The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
