  • Acts to ensure accurate policy and labor contract interpretation and effective administration.
  • Works with and assists Business Group Leaders as needed to reduce injuries, lost time days, Workers' Compensation costs, and OSHA recordables.
  • Manages recruiting process for hourly associates from job posting to onboarding.
  • Administers weekly payroll processing.
  • Administers badge security system.
  • Administers Vision Care, Educational Assistance, and safety shoe programs
  • Provides orientation for new hires and works with team to ensure training programs are robust.
  • Manages data base to ensure all employees are compliant with required training.
  • Assists with strategic planning for training and development programs.
  • Provides reporting and presentations for HR metric tracking.
  • Processes purchases for non-inventory items.
  • Works with outside vendors (Granger, Cintas, Staples).
  • Ensures employee bulletin boards are up to date with communications.
  • Investigates and responds to various daily payroll related questions from employees
  • Maintains Personnel Files of the hourly workforce.
  • Supports HR Manager/HR Team with special projects as needed.
  • Maintain adherence to Company policies, safety/ergonomic standards and good housekeeping practices.
  • Supports and participates in the Quality System, EMS and OHS programs and Management reviews.
Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Human Resources Management or Business-related field along with a minimum of 2 years Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Labor relations background preferred.
  • Must have strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
  • Ability to implement short- and long-term program objectives and monitor effectiveness, striving for continuous program improvement
