Assists in providing administrative support to the Director of Human Resources. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: includes the following.Other duties may be assigned.
- Keeps abreast of legislation affecting human resources; trains management and monitors company policies to ensure compliance.
- Assists management with recruiting, interviewing, and selection of employees to fill vacant positions.
- Create and maintain applications/interview tracking system in order to measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
- Conduct New Hire Orientation. Discuss all employee benefits and LOA procedures in new class orientation and discuss online enrollment with new hire employees in health and life insurance in Paycom. Assist employees with online open enrollment in Paycom and submit to the insurance carrier via internet one month before effective date.
- Assists with maintaining records of benefits plans participations such as insurance and 401(k), personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting. Ensures that rules concerning confidentiality and retention are followed.
- With review of the Memorandum of Understandings will have a working knowledge of all aspects of the union agreements and company policies.
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assists the Human Resources Director with personnel-related hearings and investigations.
- Prepare various reports as requested by the Director of Human Resources.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
- Travel may be required
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
QualificationsEducation/Experience:Bachelor's degree or better from an accredited four-year college in Human Resources or related field and three (3) years of related experience required.
