ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist that will support our company in various HR functions including recruitment, employee training and development, HR administration, employee relations, and compliance. This person will be playing a large role in developing, implementing, and ensuring the smooth operation of our company HR policies and procedures, and ultimately helping to provide a positive, fair, and respectful work environment that enables COBE's employees to flourish.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Coordinate recruitment activities such as job postings, resume screening, and interviewing.
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding, including orientation programs, paperwork completion, and introduction to company policies and culture.
  • Manage and attend Recruitment Fairs.

Training and Development:

  • Collaborate with team members to identify training needs.
  • Coordinate training initiatives and programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Create more onboarding training materials and track the training progress of new employees.

HR Administration:

  • Handle various HR administrative tasks such as maintaining files, processing paperwork, and updating HR systems.
  • Support benefits enrollment and management.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, and help with resolutions as needed.
  • Assist in resolving conflicts and fostering positive employee relations within the organization.

Compliance and Policy Administration:

  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements and internal policies.
  • Help ensure compliance with relevant labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Regularly update and maintain the Employee Handbook.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR roles, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Experience at a smaller business with around 50 people.
  • Reliability and regular on-time attendance.
  • Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentation) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving abilities and a willingness to effectively create solutions to difficult situations.
  • Reliability, a strong work ethic, high integrity, relentless drive and enthusiasm, and a desire for long-term employment.
  • A professional and appropriate demeanor and appearance.
  • A strong desire to use your knowledge and skills to improve COBE.
