We are searching for a full time, direct hire, highly detailed, critically thinking team player that understands the fundamentals of human resources to be an HR Generalist in Johnstown PA
You will have
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in human resources (or related) field or an Associates and at least four (4) years of human resources experience in a union environment.
- Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification is a major plus.
- Strong knowledge of compliance obligations related to human resources including but not limited to: Fair Labor Standards Act (FSLA), Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Workers' Compensation and other related state and federal laws.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Working knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and automated payroll systems.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficient to advanced MS Office skills (Outlook, Word and Excel).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with outstanding relationship building skills
