Human Resources Generalist – Onboarding & HR AdministrationLocation: Various Locations - Northampton, W. Springfield, Holyoke, Greenfield Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Human ResourcesStarting Pay: $22/hr We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This role will focus on onboarding new hires, managing job descriptions, and providing comprehensive HR administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of HR processes. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a passion for creating positive employee experiences, and the ability to manage multiple HR functions efficiently. Key ResponsibilitiesOnboarding & Talent Integration:
- Oversee the end-to-end onboarding process to ensure a positive and seamless new hire experience.
- Conduct and review new hire paperwork to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop onboarding plans tailored to departmental needs.
- Maintain and improve onboarding materials, checklists, and processes to align with organizational goals.
Job Description Creation & Management:
- Collaborate with leadership to draft, revise, and maintain job descriptions.
- Ensure job descriptions are up-to-date, aligned with company structure, and meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Support the development of job postings for recruitment efforts, including internal and external communications.
HR Administration:
- Support HR data management, ensuring accuracy in HR systems and maintaining confidential employee records.
- Foster positive working relationships with employees, leadership, and external partners.
- Conduct proactive 30/60/90-day check-ins with new hires to ensure a smooth onboarding experience, gather feedback, and address any challenges.
- Take on additional HR projects and responsibilities as assigned to support the team's goals.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 1-3 years of HR experience, with a focus on onboarding, job descriptions, and HR administration.
- Knowledge of HR practices and employment laws; familiarity with human services is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with diverse teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel within Massachusetts as needed.
