Job Description:

Spyglass Talent Solutions, a retained recruitment firm based in Raleigh, NC, has been engaged by Raleigh Concrete LLC to conduct a search for a Human Resources Generalist.

Raleigh Concrete is a rapidly growing concrete supply company that has been serving the Triangle for over 10 years. The company's growth is fueled by its commitment to servicing clients, delivering quality material, and making customers its number one priority.

Reporting to the Controller, the Human Resources Generalist will oversee and execute various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, policy development, employee relations, payroll, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Support recruitment and hiring by partnering with hiring managers to post job openings, source candidates, conduct interviews, extend job offers, and manage the hiring process in Paylocity.
  • Develop and deliver new employee onboarding and orientation programs, including introductions to company culture, policies, and benefits.
  • Create and update the company handbook to reflect best practices and compliance with employment laws.
  • Oversee administration of employee benefits plans including health insurance, retirement accounts, and time off policies. Manage benefits enrollment and all related employee communication.
  • Support overall performance management by conducting performance reviews, facilitating employee goal-setting and feedback sessions, and addressing performance issues in collaboration with people managers.
  • Manage employee relations, including investigating employee concerns, mediating disputes, and develop team-building initiatives like annual events and holiday celebrations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including reporting for ACA and certified payroll.
  • Accurately manage weekly payroll administration, including data entry and verification.
  • Lead the transition to digital HR file systems and maintain compliance with paper DOT driver files.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, payroll and benefits management.
  • Familiarity with HR software systems, including Paylocity.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital file management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
