Human Resources InternSpringfield, ILCrawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT), named a Zweig Group's Best Firms to Work For. is a consulting firm with a team of engineers, planners and other related design professionals. CMT is actively seeking to add a Human Resources Intern to our team for the Summer of 2025, beginning in April and/or May. The internship will allow you to learn how a business operates and assist with various tasks in the HR department, such as recruiting activities, aiding in process improvement projects, employee onboarding, various compliance-related tasks, and more. This position will be located at our Headquarters location, in-person. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance on various corporate HR projects, as needed
- Assist with recruiting tasks, such as scheduling interviews and assisting in phone screens
- Assist in the onboarding process for new employees by hiring staff in our HRIS system, verifying documentation, and more
- Assist in event registration, planning, and training, with the possibility to attend recruiting events as a representative of CMT
- Electronic file organization and data entry
- Compliance reporting and general report generation
- Various employee relations tasks, such as preparing new hire gifts, sitting in on orientation meetings, assigning trainings, and more
- Assist in various benefits tasks, such as aiding in benefits orientation and tracking employee life changes as they relate to benefits enrollment
- Completing tasks in our HR Intelligence System, such as updating employee profiles, tracking data, and more
Position Requirements:
- In pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field with a HR emphasis
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a willingness to learn
- Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now is appreciated, but not required
- Previous internship or co-op experience in an office environment is appreciated, but not required
