Basic Purpose
Nexeo Plastics, LLC is seeking a Human Resources Manager to support the company's commercial organization. We seek a Human Resources professional highly competent in all functional areas of Human Resources (HR). This individual will be responsible for driving HR philosophies and processes for HR program management across multiple lines of business. The HR Manager will be responsible for partnering with the HR management team and delivering HR solutions to business opportunities. This position requires a driven individual with experience supporting multiple locations and a track record of building credible relationships and partnering with multiple lines of business. This position is in The Woodlands, TX with flexible work options.
Ideal candidate will have strengths and applicable experience in assisting in the development, implementation and oversight of HR programs on a day-to-day basis, organizational development, HR project management experience, change management, continuous process improvement, employee relations, compensation and benefits, staffing/recruiting and effectively partnering with all HR components.
Position Responsibilities
* Serves as the primary HR business partner for the commercial organization in North America, including for example, sales, product line management, and customer solutions.
* Plans, directs, executes and coordinates HR workflow to support business needs.
* Oversees HR personnel to support the commercial function as well as manage internal HR processes, projects and initiatives.
* Provides counsel and directs activities related to policies, discipline, investigations, terminations and other HR practices.
* Resolves employee relations issues through a systematic, defensible approach.
* Provides counsel to management regarding organizational design, development and succession planning.
* Facilitates change management.
* Ensures delivery of timely, relevant, and efficient HR operational services in partnership with other HR leaders within and beyond the business.
* Coach, train and guide managers during the Talent Management and annual compensation planning processes.
* Augments and provides representation on some and/or multiple HR work teams responsible for identifying and providing solutions to improve HR processes.
* Using data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR policies and practices and understanding the business to continuously drive further improvements.
* Ensure all employee data is accurate and properly updated in SuccessFactors.
* Other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience & Skills)
* BA/BS in Human Resources Management or related field. Graduate degree and/or HR professional certifications/re-certifications preferred.
* Must have at least 10 years of progressive HR experience with experience supporting multiple locations desired.
* Prior experience supporting the commercial business is preferred.
* Extensive knowledge of principles and practices of human resources management and administration, employment, classification and compensation, benefits administration, employee relations and employee development.
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of state, federal and local laws and regulations related to human resources. Knowledge of HR and labor practices is highly desired
* Ability to effectively and efficiently plan, organize, coordinate and direct all HR activities relating to corporate functions.
* Creative problem solver with strong organizational and leadership skills, with proven ability to effectively plan, implement and administer programs to achieve business objectives.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to clearly convey complex information and ideas both to senior level management and to subordinates.
* Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
* Experience with HRIS (SAP, SuccessFactors) a plus.
* Some travel for client support may be required.
