Human Resources Manager
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll on a weekly and bi-weekly basis for both union and non-union employees.
- Deliver consistent benefits administration, implementation of staff policies, procedures, and employment practices.
- Negotiate multi-state benefit plans, implementation, administration and open enrollments for health and wellness.
- Negotiate and implement union contracts.
- Develop and implement training and safety programs
- Collaborate with leadership to tailor operational strategies based on productivity and success metrics
- Coordinate and manage leave programs and compliance with ERISA, ACA, and regulatory filings with Federal and State agencies, including the IRS and Department of Labor (DOL).
- Development of employee handbook and ensure compliance
- Oversee payroll audits and verify quarterly and yearly tax filings.
- Perform FMLA and Cobra compliance.
- Manage company health plans, 401K, short term / long term disability as well as group life.
- Process worker s compensation and disability claims.
- Process 401k checks, union dues and union benefits checks.
- Track employee sick, vacation and personal days.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- At least 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience within Real Estate, Construction or a similar industry
- Experience with Union Payroll is required; prevailing wage, 32BJ, NOITU, Local 6, Local 94 is preferred.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Excel
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented
- Strong understanding of modern enterprise HR management models, strategic planning, and operational skills
