Summary HR Works is supporting our client, a manufacturing company in Bergen, NY, with its search for a Human Resources Manager. This is a fully onsite opportunity and has a compensation base compensation range of $100,000-$130,000. The Role: The Human Resources Manager will lead and direct the functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including coordination of the interviewing and hiring process, administration of benefits, leave management, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements. The Human Resources Manager provides hands-on, comprehensive HR support and direction to staff, including but not limited to employee relations, retention, engagement, policy and procedure development, and training. A primary emphasis is placed on performance management and employee development. The Human Resources Manager will work closely with managers to provide ongoing guidance in creating and maintaining an atmosphere that attracts and retains a high-performing workforce. The Human Resources Manager will additionally work on a number of exciting projects that focus on continuous improvement of the employee life cycle. The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have strong attention to detail, impeccable writing and grammar skills, demonstrate excellence in internal customer service, and demonstrated success in coaching and developing the HR team. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have proven experience helping to foster a culture of accountability and leading Managers through strong emotional intelligence, relationship building, and influence. Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in Human Resources or a closely related field is required.
  • 7+ years of HR experience in a mid-sized (200+) organization is required, with 5+ years of HR Generalist experience supporting all areas of the HR function and 5+ years of leading an HR team.
  • 3+ years of HR experience in manufacturing is preferred but not required.
  • Global experience is preferred but not required.
  • ESOP experience is preferred but not required.
  • A related certification is strongly preferred.
  • Technically savvy, with a demonstrated ability to work extensively within an HRIS system; ADP experience is strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of performance management and development experience, including coaching of managers and development and administration of training programs.
  • Excellent writing skills are required. Must be very strong with written and very communication skills.
  • Proven experience implementing successful changes through influence and relationship building.
