YAGEO / KEMET is seeking a Human Resources Manager in Simpsonville, SC. This role supports the HR functions, providing HR guidance / assistance to employees and managers. Our Simpsonville location includes a manufacturing plant (5 shift operation), Technology, Innovation Centers, Sales and functional groups. Excellent opportunity for growth for the right person.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Provide employee relations support and guidance to employees and managers
* Manage hourly and contract employment
* Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations in accordance with company policy.
* Coordinate and conduct onboarding activities
* Coordinate and lead employee meetings, events, trainings, etc. on all shifts.
* Drive recruitment activities as assigned.
* Assist with compliance requirements and activities as requested
* Works closely with the HR Director on HR activities, initiatives, and projects.
* Handle confidential matters with discretion
* Other duties related to Human Resources as assigned
Qualifications:
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
* Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
* Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
* Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
* Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
* Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
* Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS systems
* Excellent proactive problem-solving experience with demonstrated analytical skills
* Attention to detail and good judgement
* Up to 10% travel could be required
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in related field.
* 5 - 8 years of experience in Human Resources (preferred)
* HR Certification (strongly preferred)
