Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner
The purpose of this job is to provide Human Resources support by effectively organizing in the Distribution Center, including administration of the human resources policies, procedures, organizational development, onboarding and basic employee relations issues. Will be managing through execution of Human Resources strategy, effective organizational design and administration of related processes
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
* Shape a culture that facilitates and supports Guitar Center'sgoals and initiatives, by supporting and coaching managers in their implementation of core people processes(including performance management, salary review, job evaluation, tracking internal promotions and creating internal job offers)
* Communicates and interprets policies and procedures for Support Center associates and assists the management team with employee relations issues.
* Assist with Legal Compliance: order/distribute all state and federal
* Assist with Subpoena and employment verification
* Receives calls on the HR Group Line and responds to all general inquiries
* Update and maintain the HR Organizational charts
* Create reporting and analysis for employment lifecycle including background checks and unemployment claims processes
* Represent Guitar Center in regards to unemployment hearings
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and employees
* Promote and foster an environment of open communication and honest, candid feedback
* Participates in the discipline and discharge of associates as necessary.
* Will be responsible for creating new hire orientations, exit and stay interviews as well as creating turnover analysis reports.
* Assist with drafting and distributing general HR communications.
* Maintain organizational charts utilizing OrgPlus
* Maintain internal communication piece regarding associate career
* Perform investigations when required, and prepare supporting written documentation
* Perform additional related duties as required and/or assigned
To join our band, you will need the following experience:
* Bachelor's Degree (or 4 years of equivalent work experience) in Human Resources Management or a related field.
* 4 years of relevant work experience within Human Resources (in addition to degree or years of previous experience), preferably with a background in recruiting/staffing, payroll processing, HRIS, or related field.
* 1 year of experience in a generalist role required, preferably in a distribution/manufacturing facility.
* Skilled proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Novice knowledge of employment and benefit laws and regulations.
* Analytical Skills: Able to explore information, data, and reports in order to extract meaningful insights, which can be used to better understand and improve business performance.
* Collaboration: Able to develop cooperation and teamwork while participating in a group, working toward solutions which generally benefit all involved parties. Able to build relationships with others by offering help and providing suggestions for improvement
