The HR Manager at South Mill Champs is responsible for overseeing and managing the human resources functions within the organization, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and legal compliance. This role includes recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and enforcing company policies and procedures. The HR Manager works closely with management to develop strategies for improving employee engagement, retention, and development while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential for success in this position.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 5-7 years of experience in human resources or a related field.
- Proven experience in handling key HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance.
- A valid driver's license and a clean MVR are required.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English)
Role and Responsibilities:
- Partners with the management team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Manages the workers compensation case management process.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Responsible for overall HR team management in collaboration with HR Director
- Prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures in collaboration with HR Director.
- Performs assessments of job descriptions and resumes.
- Serves as a liaison between employees and the Company.
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Maintains cooperative communication with all Company departments as it pertains to their respective hiring and personnel needs.
- Ensures the implementation of the employee engagement program to include updating current performance program alongside the HR Director.
- Participates in HR staff meetings and trainings as assigned.
- Project management as delegated. Other duties as assigned.
