Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources
Manager leads the routine functions of the HR department and enforces firm
policies and practices. The Human Resources Manager maintains functional
knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees,
reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Oversees the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate
staff in the department and firm.
• Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with firm
policy.
Duties/Responsibilities :
• Partners with the HR Director to understand and execute the organization's
human resource strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent
needs, retention, and succession planning.
• Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and nonmandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may
include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and
aptitude exams and certifications.
• Provides support and guidance to HR staff, leadership, and other staff when
complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be
required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances
such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of
wrongdoing, and terminations.
• Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
• Responsible for processes associated with the maintenance and organization
of personnel documents used to determine an employee's qualifications for
employment, promotion, transfer, additional compensation, disciplinary
action or discharge.
• Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors,
referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate member of
leadership.• Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource
programs including but not limited to compensation; disciplinary matters;
disputes and investigations; performance and talent management;
productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and
training and development.
• Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations,
and investigations.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and
regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices
to maintain compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related discipline is
required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in general HR practices, preferably in a
professional service environment.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
