Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the architecture and engineering industry, with a proven track record in compliance, talent acquisition, and talent development. This role requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in human resources. A professional HR license is preferred. The HR Manager will be responsible for supervising the HR team and ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and programs.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the HR department, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, professional development, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent.
  • Drive talent development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Manage and mentor the HR team, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and develop workforce plans.
  • Handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Maintain HR records and prepare reports for senior management.
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on the architecture and engineering industry.
  • Professional HR license preferred (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition and talent development.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Hours and Remote Work Options:
  • This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum of 2 days in the office per week.
  • Standard working hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
