Job Description:
The Dahill Group is pleased to be assisting our client, a well-established and well-respected Texas E&P company, in search of an outstanding Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources (HR) Manager will be accountable for delivery of all aspects of our client's HR function. As the company's HR subject matter leader, the HR Manager will be accountable for the planning, development, and administration of HR strategies and policies. The role administers and oversees several HR areas including recruiting, compensation, benefits, training, employee and labor relations, and compliance with all applicable state and federal labor regulations. This position will be in our client's Longview office - 9/80 and hybrid remote work (3 days in office/2 days remote) schedules offered.Duties and Responsibilities: Works with department heads in the recruiting and onboarding of personnel required to deliver department's business objectives. Reviews company's annual ECI compensation benchmarking report to identify trends, determine year on-year salary movements for our client's jobs, and recommends any actions needed to ensure company's compensation package remains competitive. Provides annual merit raise recommendation to the Operating Company and Family Office Presidents. As the single point of contact for the company's benefits plans for employees, retirees, and the family, the HR Manager:o Maintains a working knowledge of the plans (see plan summary documents) and external trends, o Liaises with all TPAs, plan consultants, and company plan trustees to resolve issues including needed dispensation approvals,o Manages any needed changes to plans and plan documents,o Facilitates periodic plan performance meetings including preparation and distribution of agendas, meeting pre-read materials, and disseminating meeting action summaries, ando Coordinates with the Payroll Specialist to facilitate employee actions related to payroll related benefits (401K, Open Enrollment, short- and long-term disability processing, etc.). Maintains a working knowledge of state and federal regulatory and legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required. Works with department heads as needed to identify sources of training for employees and follows-up with the department heads to ensure the training needs were met. Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Consults with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate. Monitors and analyzes external trends/metrics and changes in employment law to recommend and develop HR solutions, programs and policies. Recommends revisions to the company's Employee Handbook as needed. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Responsible for ensuring department heads and employees understand policies and procedures including the Employee Handbook. Oversees and guides enforcement of such policies. Back-up to the company's Payroll Specialist. Other responsibilities as needed.Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum 10 years of relevant HR experience Bachelor's degree from an accredited college Business Acumen Integrity HR Knowledge Proactive Leadership Oral and Written Communication Skills Cultural AwarenessThis job requires periodic travel to the company's Carthage, TX field office, the company hangar, and work-related conferences.Salary and Benefits:Annual Salary: $125,000 - $135,000Annual Target Bonus: 10%9/80 and hybrid remote work (3 days in office/2 days remote) schedules offered.Benefits include:100% Employer paid Health insurance for employee, spouse and children.401K employer matches the first 1% at 100% and the next 6% at 50%.Pension - a qualified retirement plan is provided for all its employees. Employee will become eligible for the pension plan on the first day of the calendar month following one year of service. Employee becomes fully vested after 3 years of service
