Plymouth Tube is looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious team member to join our East Troy, WI Human Resources team. This person must embrace change, be self-motivated, and inspire others inside and outside the department. The individual should be able to communicate directly and openly with all levels in our organization. There will be many opportunities for the successful candidate to engage their innovative and creative problem-solving skills to help move the department to the next level. It is a must that the Human Resource Manager has a high degree of personal integrity in dealing with customers, superiors, subordinates, and co-workers and will represent Plymouth Tube Company in a professional manner. The successful candidate will live both in the big picture as well as in the details, desire to make an impact, and work well in a team and individually.
YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The overall management and implementation of his/her designated mill's Human Resources Policies, Procedures, Guidelines and Tools. S/he will work with the designated Vice President of Human Resources, to ensure that organizational HR policies and procedures are adapted to the specific context of each response, adequate and known to staff. The HR Manager will conduct training on site for employees and facilitate development and implementation of appropriate HR management responses including plans and Standard Operating Procedures that fits Plymouth's policy and standards. S/he will provide expert HR advice to all levels of Plymouth staff. The HR Manager is responsible for leading the overall HR functions including site work-force planning, site recruitment, staff administration management, etc. for his/her designated mills. S/he will also be encouraged to participate in other departmental activities, including team meetings, continuing education activities, annual conferences, and research activities.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Design approaches to improve organizational, operational, and people strategies.
- Customize HR, talent management and operational solutions to address specific business imperatives to positively impact operational performance.
- Establish and maintain collaborative, credible, trusting partnerships with individuals across a broad range of people and groups, both internal and external.
- Enable productive labor/management operation.
- Partner with a cross-functional group of subject-matter resources to design and execute shared operational and talent strategies.
- Deliver expertise, resources, and services to drive customer / organizational imperatives.
- Understand business objectives and needs and connect teams to the right individuals, business strategies, HR strategies, practices, and solutions.
- Use data analytics and reporting to advise and guide Mill Leaders for effective and insightful decision-making.
- Distill complex information into key insights, clear recommendations, and action plans.
- Lead challenging conversations and interactions.
- Coach and develops leaders and managers to deliver people-management capabilities.
- Manage annual performance management process.
- Manage administration of leave of absence and time of policies
- Manage resolution of employee relations issues and job performance concerns
- Assist in recruitment process for salaried and hourly job positions, as needed.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required; 5+ years Human Resources Manager experience.
- Human Resource Professional Certification (SPHR) or Society for Human Resource Senior Professional Certification (SHRM-SPC) preferred but not required.
- At least 5 years at facility as a HR manager level (multi-site experience preferred)
- Professional presence and the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
- Strong knowledge of broad HR practices and procedures with experience as a Generalist.
- Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office applications
- HRIS experience with Ceridian Dayforce preferred but not required.
