Learn more at /careers or visit this video.The Human Resources Manager will serve as a proactive member of the plant leadership team providing guidance on employee relations and input on decisions that affect facility operations and staff. This is an on-site role based at our facility in Coal City, IL.Key Responsibilities:Partner with site leaders to provide day-to-day HR support; including staffing, compensation, benefits processing, performance management, training, and development, employee relations.Act as first point of contact / liaison for employees in regards to benefit, payroll, or other human resource inquiries and information as appropriate.Problem-solving, providing direction, and answering routine first level of HR questions; from employees and managers, in the areas of payroll, benefits, employee programs, and HR policies (i.e., STD, FMLA, pay, incentive if applicable, etc.).Participate in business meetings, present HR initiatives, and maintain awareness of ongoing business strategy.Assist managers and employees with effective use of HR management systems.Occasional training delivery (new hire orientations, new initiatives, etc.).Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment (WARN, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, etc.).Regularly participate and contribute in business meetings, present HR initiatives, and maintain awareness of ongoing business strategy and business metrics.Processing a variety of HR and operational transactions and reports by utilizing HRIS systems (UKG) and SAP processes and reporting.Maintain appropriate confidentiality of information processed.Assist Corporate in developing guidelines and procedures regarding employee relations.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, PHR certification preferred.5+ years related HR experience in a manufacturing environment.Working knowledge & understanding of recruiting practices, federal/state employment law, & basics of FMLA, ADA, EEO.Experience using UKG / Ultimate Software is a plus.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status or other protected status.
