Based at: Mucci Pac Ltd., Huron, OH
Type of Employment: Full-Time, permanent, 5-days a week; some additional hours which may include Saturdays, depending on workload and priorities. Occasional travel between facilities is required.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Implementation of HR strategy to support business growth within US Division (2 Distribution Centers, 2 Greenhouse operation)
- Lead the HR department in achieving its annual objectives and key performance indicators
- Responsible for implementing background checks and maintaining vendor relations
- Maintain recruitment process including onboarding and orientation
- Maintain positive employee relations and resolve complex issues through proper investigation and mediation with Managers and employees
- Manage total rewards system including merit, bonus, promotions, adjustments
- Ensure competitive position within the industry and internal equity
- Develop and maintain compensation and benefit structure to retain talent
- Conduct external surveys and standardize data for all
- Participate in benefit plan design, costing and selection
- Research and maintain compliance with all employment related government standards
- Deployment of Corporate policies and procedures initiatives to ensure adherence across all divisions and states
- Develop policies, procedures, handbooks and internal audit processes to ensure adherence across all divisions and states
- Maintain performance management system including performance reviews, performance counselling, progressive discipline and attendance management
- Lead employee engagement initiatives such as employee surveys, employee incentive programs and social events
- Identify training needs to support employee development and implement group and individual training initiatives that support key organizational competencies
- Administer Workers Compensation, RTW programs and set key metrics for reduction of experience rating
- Oversee HRIS / payroll system to ensure optimization of workflows and timely and accurate labor reporting
- Oversee H2A and H2B application and program requirements in relevant locations
- Participate and provide appropriate records for customer and external audits from government agencies when required
- Track and report on HR metrics such as attendance, turnover and headcount in accordance with company reporting periods and standards
- Maintain accurate and up to date HR records and files
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- University/College diploma or certificate in Human Resources
- 7 - 10 years of experience in HR Management
- Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation management, policy and procedure development and training
- Extensive experience in benefit program design and sourcing
- Experience with guest worker programs especially H2A and H2B programs is preferred
- Knowledge of all HR related legislative requirements: Fair Labor Standards Act, State Labor Codes, Workers Compensation Act, Civil Rights Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, etc.
- Excellent employee relations, negotiation and presentation skills
- Experience in a fast paced, start-up environment
- Ability to work under pressure, to multi-task and to reprioritize tasks daily
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook and ADP payroll
- Experience with HRIS/payroll conversions required
- Excellent documentation, communication, computer and time management skills
- Ability to read, write, speak and translate in Spanish is an asset
Physical Abilities:
- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
- Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs. and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
- Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period
- Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F
