Job Description:

Leeds Professional Resources is working with a client in the 33619 area of Tampa that is looking for an experienced HR Manager. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing the completion of all administrative activities, rules and regulations, and adherence to all compliance matters related to the Human Resources and Safety functions for this client.

  • Design, develop, implement, and assess company HR policies and procedures with attention to process improvement, communication clarity, and organizational structure.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy.
  • Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives.
  • Responsible for assisting to develop HR topic training programs.
  • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day HR department operations to adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Guide Safety Manager in developing a Safety Program including building a safety committee, a safety rewards and recognition program, and a safety accountability program.
  • Collaborates with leadership to design and implement retention and engagement strategies.
  • Responsible for ensuring organizational compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist VP of HR in the development, review, and auditing of handbooks, policies, procedures, company rules and regulations to ensure legal compliance.
  • Oversees, guides, and directs the Safety Department ensuring compliance with all OSHA and company safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee and manage associate onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and departing associates.
  • Nurture a positive and productive work environment in which associates treat each other with respect and professionalism.
  • Assist VP of HR to build associate recognition program and improve associate engagement strategies and opportunities.
  • Assists Payroll & Benefits Manager administer FMLA, ADA, and Workers' Compensation programs, ensuring compliance with all state laws and regulations.
  • Directs and oversees the company wellness program.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
  • PHR or SPHR certification a must
  • 10 + years in progressively challenging Human Resources roles
