What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in fostering a positive company culture, supporting talent development, and managing day-to-day HR functions. You will work closely with leadership and team members to drive engagement, improve HR processes, and contribute to a culture of collaboration and growth. Your work will directly impact both our team members' experience and our overall company success.

Key Responsibilities:

Culture and Employee Engagement:

● Promote and champion the company culture, ensuring alignment with Smash Park's core values.

● Assist with implementing employee engagement programs to foster a positive, inclusive workplace.

● Support employee recognition initiatives and ensure ongoing feedback loops are in place to keep teams motivated and aligned.

Talent Acquisition and Development:

● Partner with a third-party agency to manage the recruitment process, from posting jobs to interviewing.

● Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring an effective and welcoming orientation experience.

● Partner with leadership and the Learning & Development Manager to design and implement training programs that equip employees with the skills to succeed and advance.

● Contribute to performance management initiatives, including performance reviews, goal setting, and professional development plans.

Benefits and HR Administration:

● Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, updates, and addressing employee inquiries.

● Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws.

● Support payroll, compensation, and benefits processes, ensuring timely and accurate implementation.

● Handle unemployment claims and other administrative HR functions as needed.

Employee Relations and Support:

● Provide guidance to employees on HR-related inquiries, resolving issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

● Support leadership in addressing employee relations matters, working to resolve conflicts and improve workplace satisfaction.

● Assist with investigations and provide documentation when necessary.

HR Strategy and Implementation:

● Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies that support organizational growth and employee retention.

● Stay up-to-date with changes in employment laws and HR best practices, ensuring compliance.

● Utilize HRIS systems and other technology tools to improve HR efficiency and optimize processes.

Qualifications:

● 5+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations, talent development, and HR administration.

● Strong understanding of HR functions, including employee engagement, benefits administration, performance management, and recruitment.

● Proficiency with HRIS systems and MS Office Suite; ability to adapt to new technologies.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

● Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

● SHRM-CP or similar HR certification preferred.

● Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
