Job Summary:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for all aspects of human resource practices and processes within the company. Responsibilities include recruitment, employee benefits, and compliance with labor laws. Ideal candidates should have strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of HR best practices.
Responsibilities
- Work with President & CEO to Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.
- Manage recruitment and selection processes, using job posting platforms & recruiters; coordinate job interviews.
- Manage new employee orientation / onboarding, new hire paperwork & benefits for all locations. Perform background checks, drug testing. Manage off boarding.
- Oversee performance management systems to ensure employee development and engagement.
- Attend disciplinary meetings with department heads.
- Maintains and monitors employee benefits programs such as FMLA, 401K, Medical, Life/AD&D/LTD, Disability.
- Negotiate and Coordinate Health Benefit renewals yearly.
- Oversee filing of employment benefit reports, i.e. 5500 reports, EEO.
- Monitor & process annual 1095-C Forms using payroll software i.e. Paychex Flex.
- Work with Finance department in payroll and benefit compliance.
- Oversee bulletin boards/company intranet(HR) with dated material for compliance.
- Handle unemployment claims/employee garnishments.
- Maintains and post annual OSHA Log.
- Coordinate HR Training using PureSafety platform.
- Processes worker's compensation claims to insurance company, act as a liaison between employee, insurance company.
- Handle annual 401k and workers compensation audits.
- Attend job fairs.
- Work with Business Administrator for organizing company functions.
- Liaison for benefit management for Piller Canadian Office.
- Maintain Organizational Chart/Langley Org Chart.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years' experience in Human Resources Management
- PHR/SPHR Certification preferred
