Global law firm is seeking an HR Manager to join their team in Manhattan. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in high volume recruitment and human resources management duties at a supervisory level.
Salary: $150-170K base
Hybrid schedule, 3 days onsite, 2 remote.
Hours: 8:30-5
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for recruitment and onboarding, including design and execution of strategies to improve the hiring process
- Provide guidance to employees on policies and procedures
- Support HR leadership with employee relations, including check-ins, exit interviews and counseling as required
- Supervise the HR Assistant in a variety of tasks, including events, background check, processing of invoices and maintaining employee files
- Help develop and maintain annual HR calendar
- Assist with annual HR leadership planning and projects
- Develop employee learning programs and initiatives
- Address employee inquiries concerning the HRIS, including managing plans and balances, and troubleshooting issues
- Suggest HRIS system improvements as needed
- Assist with ongoing HR tasks and activities, including offboarding, payroll reports, tracking and any employee changes
- Assist with firmwide events and conferences as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 6 + years of human resources and hands-on recruiting experience required, with a few years of managerial experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented and ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Good interpersonal and team management skillset
- Prior experience out of legal industry or financial services preferred
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and HRIS systems (UKG preferred)
