Job Description:

A privately held distribution company is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for performing all HR-related duties related to payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who is just as comfortable working autonomously as with a team. This candidate should be corporate culture-focused, bringing enthusiasm to the office and offering up new ideas and programs.

Location: Tampa, FL (onsite only)

Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Process multi-state payroll for staff.
  • Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the upkeep of the employee handbook and personnel policies and procedures, in conjunction with executive leadership.
  • Conducts recruitment efforts; oversees onboarding processes.
  • Handles employee relations counseling, counseling and exit interviewing.
  • Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

Education and Experience requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of recent experience in human resources within the manufacturing and/or distribution industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, and HR certification highly preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with senior leadership, employees, and external stakeholders.
  • Skilled with HR software tools, preferably WorkDay and/or ADP, etc.
