Job Title: HR Manager - Supply Chain, Americas

Function / Department: Human Resources

Location: Upstate New York

Reporting to: Head of Human Resources Supply Chain, Americas

Number of Direct Reports: 2-3

Job Summary

As the HR Manager, you will serve as the front-line HR support for the designated client group within the production facility. You will provide managers with support on all HR-related matters including employee relations, coaching, performance management, development, and management effectiveness. You will monitor and diagnose the functional health of the client organization and implement plans to address areas for improvement. In this role, you will collaborate with HR specialist functions such as Recruiting, Compensation & Benefits, and act as a business partner to senior management.

Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:

  • Provide operational HR expertise to senior management and employees in areas such as payroll, social legislation, recruitment, talent management, labor relations, and internal communication.
  • Support internal programs by addressing HR-related issues.
  • Contribute to business strategy by identifying, prioritizing, and building organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes.
  • Assist line management in talent pipeline forecasting and planning.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Team to ensure efficient and compliant recruitment activities.
  • Oversee recruiting, onboarding, promotion, and exit activities to ensure seamless transitions and continuous improvement in organizational capability.
  • Implement and manage learning interventions, accounting for learning principles and theories.
  • Drive people processes (performance, development, career) to meet current and future performance standards.
  • Manage specific projects and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Develop and promote feedback mechanisms to improve HR services and processes.
  • Implement HR policies and reward strategies to ensure fairness and objectivity in decisions.
  • Provide expert advice and coaching to managers and employees.
  • Drive engagement and collaboration to support the integration of new cultural directions.
  • Engage with client departments to understand their business objectives and needs.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion efforts to ensure a representative workforce.
  • Diagnose talent needs and build plans to identify, assess, and onboard the right talent.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven track record of success in a multi-site manufacturing environment, including expansions, facility closings, and labor/market analysis.
  • Expertise in employment laws and applications (FMLA, FLSA, Voluntary Retirement plans, etc.).
  • Labor relations experience in both union and non-union environments.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage independently and create schedules.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global organization and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of HR processes, including compensation and benefits, social law, labor relations, performance management, talent assessment, engagement, recognition, learning & development, training, and recruitment.
  • Experience in plant organization.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to address complex, interdependent issues effectively.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible in a changing business environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of HR management experience in a relevant industry.
