Caring About People, Plants, and Process Growth Oriented Customer First Can Do Attitude POSITION OVERVIEW The HR and office Manager will handle daily HR and office administrative tasks, including recruitment, benefits coordination, employee relations, and general office management. The position supports a positive company culture aligned with TPC's core values. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSHR Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs, coordinate with providers, and manage workers' compensation and unemployment claims.
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting New Hire Orientation and supporting policy communication.
- Maintain personnel records, including benefits information, performance records, and disciplinary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with employment regulations, updating policies as needed.
Office Management
- Oversee general office functions, including supplies inventory, vendor relationships, and office communications.
- Coordinate meeting spaces and assist with administrative tasks to support smooth office operations.
- Manage company equipment, workspace assignments, and office security processes.
Talent Acquisition & Staffing
- Manage recruitment for non-exempt positions, including job postings, applicant tracking, interview coordination, and background checks.
- Conducted initial screenings and assisted hiring managers in filling open positions.
- Ensure all hiring processes comply with employment regulations.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and general support.
- Address routine employee concerns, encourage open communication, and foster a respectful workplace environment to support positive employee relations.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in alignment with employment law and company policies.
- Supported compliance and safety initiatives by working with the Safety & HR Generalist on documentation and scheduling training.
Requirements REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:
- Basic HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related areas is required.
- 3-4 years of experience in HR or office management roles.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to bend, twist, turn, climb, pull, lift, and carry up to 15 pounds throughout the workday. The Plant Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
