Position Description
Weris is seeking an organized and proactive HR Operations Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive work environment and ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations activities. As an HR Operations Coordinator, you will be involved with supporting vendor management, employment related insurance matters, benefits administration, recruitment, onboarding, and policy development, while also assisting with other key operational tasks that keep our organization running efficiently. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the VP of Human Capital and Corporate Operations in a dynamic environment where you'll contribute to both retention activities and operational success, helping shape a productive, engaged workplace for all employees.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Support leadership in quality assurance across the company.
- Oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive experience for new hires and smooth transitions for departing employees.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries on benefits, leave, and payroll, maintaining accurate records and data in HRIS systems.
- Support employee engagement through recognition programs, and corporate communications, including company e-newsletter, to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Maintain company SharePoint intranet site including uploading documents post meetings and trainings.
- Develop, interpret, and communicate organizational policies and procedures, ensuring updates align with federal, state, and local laws.
- Support compliance efforts, managing personnel files, monitoring training requirements, and audits.
- Facilitate the performance review process with managers, ensuring clear goal setting and alignment with company objectives.
- Support recruitment, including developing job descriptions, postings and conducting background checks.
- Work with leadership on the benefit selection process evaluating options and providing support during open enrollment.
- Act as a liaison with benefits providers and ensure accounts are accurate.
- Support office operations, including ordering supplies and overseeing facility needs.
- Coordinate time reporting and payroll issues, support accounting with expense reimbursements, and ensure accurate time entry for payroll.
- Support IT and operational projects that enhance HR and corporate functions.
- Support company events including All Hands meetings, Brown Bag Trainings, and offsite team building gatherings.
- Schedule planning sessions and prepare supporting documentation and evidence for annual ISO Certification audits. Participate in audits and support the close out of required follow-up activities.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency in HR and operational procedures.
Qualifications- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in HR, Operations, Administrative Support or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Canva experience preferred. Familiarity with HRIS preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels.
- High level of organization and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
- Familiarity with compliance regulations related to HR, benefits, and operational standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new challenges with a proactive mindset.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
