As part of this expansion in the US, XNRGY is seeking a qualified and experienced on-site HR/Payroll Coordinator to join the team. Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, this position will be responsible for supporting the HR department with payroll processing, employee record management, and benefits administration. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, assists with onboarding and offboarding employees, and supports various HR functions to maintain compliance and streamline HR operations. enforcing company policies and practices for the Mesa XNRGY production site.

An overview of your responsibilities:

  • Process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Review timesheets and attendance records, resolve discrepancies, and verify employee hours.
  • Maintain payroll records and prepare reports for HR and finance as required.
  • Manage payroll adjustments, deductions, and tax calculations, including garnishments and benefits deductions.
  • Coordinate year-end payroll tasks, such as W-2 processing.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified candidates for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives, providing guidance and support to employees regarding enrollment, claims, and plan changes.
  • Ensure payroll and benefits-related documentation is properly maintained and in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile payroll discrepancies and support audits.
  • Maintain and help implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Track and maintain various KPI's for workforce readiness providing suggestions for improvement efforts.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Stay Current on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, Talent Management, and Employment Law.
  • Performs other assigned duties.

What you'll need, among other things!

  • At least three (3) years of Human Resources and Payroll/Benefits administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., Dayforce) and HRIS systems.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor laws.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • SHRM-CP an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with various departments.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
