Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Project Manager / Business Analyst to join our team in a freelance capacity. This individual will play a key role in partnering specifically with the Compensation team to manage the activities within this team. This role involves organizing, resourcing, managing team activities, managing Compensation projects, analyzing business processes, and ensuring the successful implementation of Compensation initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong project management skills with a good understanding of HR functions, business analysis, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage HR-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership and business stakeholders to define project goals, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Develop detailed project plans, track progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Manage risks, issues, and changes to project scope, ensuring project objectives are met.
  • Ensure effective project documentation, including timelines, deliverables, and post-project reviews.
  • In Addition to projects, develop departmental project plan of team activities and deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver department playbook, including ‘ways of working' for the team as well as an operational playbook for compensation activities.

Business Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of HR business processes, documenting them using MIRO, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization, writing requirements documents and working with technology team to implement.
  • Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into clear, actionable project goals.
  • Work closely with HR and IT teams to design, implement, and support HR solutions, including HRIS systems, performance management tools, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Analyze data and HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives and provide recommendations for improvement.

Stakeholder Management & Communication:

  • Act as a liaison between HR, parent company and other compensation team members, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of key tasks and deliverables.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise reports and updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops with various business units to gather feedback and ensure project success.
  • Provide training and support to HR teams on new processes, systems, and tools as needed.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up-to-date with Project Management trends, tools, and best practices, and proactively recommend improvements.
  • Lead the change management process during Compensation process reengineering efforts.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field (required).
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or other relevant project management or business analysis certifications (preferred but not required.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, business analysis, or related HR roles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing HR projects
  • Strong knowledge of compensation processes, preferred
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, policies, and systems
  • Experience with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) or other HR technologies.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Ability to facilitate process discussions and document a process map using MIRO.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to keep team and projects on track and focused on deliverables.
  • Ability to remove obstacles and exercise good judgment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on creating practical solutions for business challenges.
  • High proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, JIRA, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments.
