Job Description:

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience (preferred)
  • Experience in HR or K-12 education (preferred)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understands and supports the mission, vision and values of Harmony Public Schools.
  • Assists assigned districts in managing all Human Resources programs, initiatives, and procedures including, but not limited to, processing new hires and separations, background checks, salary calculations, new employee onboarding, applicant prescreening, scheduling, personnel services, etc.
  • Implements HR policies and procedures throughout the system.
  • Reviews and verifies records for recommended applicants and processes them for hiring.
  • Processes all new hires, transfers, reassignments, and separations for the assigned districts.
  • Oversees data entry and recordkeeping for the Harmony HRIS system
  • Conducts regular audits to verify salary calculations, certification and degree info, etc.
  • Processes employee tickets and queries in a timely manner.
  • Assists districts in coordinating orientation for all new hires.
  • Prepares, updates, maintains and processes a variety of forms, reports, bulletins, records, schedules, lists and files according to established policies, procedures, and regulations; verifies and posts information as necessary to assure completeness and accuracy.
  • Managing Harmony HRIS system effectively in all personnel services such as processing new hires, making position requests and posting them, managing substitutes, etc.
  • Works closely with District office HR team to make sure processes are done accurately and timely.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external to the district.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district.
  • Ability to use computer including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word processing software, calculator, copy machine and telephone.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
  • Ability to use effective interview techniques, effective public speaking skills, and problem-solving skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Light Work: may require the occasional light lifting.
  • Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.
  • Position is in office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.
  • Light travel is required.
