LTD Hospitality Group is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to enhance our HR operations. This nonexempt role will office in Virginia Beach and focus on recruitment, compliance, and leave administration The ideal candidate for this role will enjoy building relationships and collaborating cross-departmentally, taking pride in helping others while creating a positive experience for candidates and employees. Duties and Tasks: 1) Recruitment and Staffing a) Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to create and update job descriptions that reflect current role expectations. b) Work closely with hiring managers to create, post, and close position openings across various platforms. c) Screen applicants for both nonexempt and exempt open positions. d) Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and candidates. e) Plan and attend career fairs, representing the organization and promoting our employer brand. 2) Employee Relations Support a) May assist with employee relations investigations by gathering relevant information and documentation. b) Aid in the development, review, and distribution of company policies. 3) Training Tracking and OSHA Compliance a) Track training completion and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations. 4) Onboarding and Offboarding a) Handle any HR specific paperwork and processes related to new hires and terminations, ensuring a smooth transition for employees. 5) HR Technology Management a) Manage daily HR system usage for record-keeping and reporting purposes. 6) Employee Benefits Communication a) Assist with communication of benefits information to employees and assist with the enrollment process. 7) FMLA, Leave Administration, and Workers' Compensation Case Management a) Administer FMLA and other leave requests, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. b) With VP of HR's assistance, manage workers' compensation cases, including incident reporting and follow-up to ensure timely support for all affected employees. c) Communicate leave policies to employees and track leave usage effectively. 8) Unemployment a) Assist in responding to unemployment claims and inquiries as necessary. b) Participate in employment hearings which may require attendance. 9) May require occasional day or overnight travel between LTD properties. 10) Other duties, projects, and tasks as assigned.
