In this pivotal role, you will facilitate various HR processes and foster positive employee relations via engagement programs, benefit support, and training opportunities. This role is part of a broader HR department with headquarters in PA, but you will be the sole human resources representative for the company's manufacturing facility based in NC (~70 people). This role is ideal for candidates with HR experience in a manufacturing environment who are skilled at fostering positive employee relations and managing HR processes. To be successful, you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be very employee focused. This is a great opportunity to grow your HR career in a stable, well-established organization in a vital industry.Human Resources Specialist Responsibilities• Support and facilitate all HR functions at the NC manufacturing facility• Spend time on the shop floor daily to enhance employee relations• Develop engagement programs, training initiatives, and supervisor coaching• Collaborate with the Safety Team on employee programs• Manage employee-facing communications regarding annual open enrollment • Recruit production team members as needed (currently fully staffed)• Maintain HRIS records, onboarding, offboarding, and life change updates• Complete Forms I-9, verify documentation, and maintain compliance files• Partner with managers to draft accurate job descriptions & hiring criteria• Conduct new-employee background checks• Assists with the performance review process• Respond to requests for HR-related data & information• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulationsHuman Resources Specialist Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent experience is required• 2+ years of professional HR experience in a manufacturing setting is required• Experience with HRIS updates & employee engagement/training is required• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (simple formulas, sorting, formatting) is required• Ability to work 100% on-site is required
