Position Summary:
The HR Specialist is accountable for supporting the Human Resources (HR) team to develop, analyze, and execute programs and data systems that support Giant's HR strategy. They are a key coordinator for the functional business and HR leaders to help build the broader strategy for all data analytics and program support, onboarding and headcount control. The HR Specialist works to design and implement procedures and practices that are cost-effective and aligned with the vision and culture of the organization. They support the field and corporate teams while providing helpful insights to improve tactics and results.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a member of the Human Resources team, contributing to advancement of the department's vision and mission.
Work with the HR Team to develop strategies and plans in support of business goals and objectives.
Support HR projects, ensuring activities and tasks are completed on time and on budget.
Secures resources to ensure projects are staffed and if required, determine if outside consultants are needed.
Act as a catalyst for generating ideas to improve efficiencies and continuous improvement opportunities.
Monitor and analyze the performance of the HR programs/processes such as merit, headcount controls, annual bonuses, balanced slate requirements, annual performance cycle, and onboarding.
Supporting Recruiting Specialist in full life cycle recruitment.
Support HR processes to ensure timely and accurate execution of new hire processing and onboarding.
Develop and maintain relationships with other vendors/retailers without compromising proprietary information.
Qualifications and Experience:
Basic:
2+ years of analytics and/or project management experience.
Strong proficiency in HR processes, procedures, and policies.
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
HR systems knowledge.
Communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates and vendors; ability to negotiate and influence.
Intermediate MS Office and Project skills.
Ability to create and manage project plans.
Able to handle multiple priorities.
Maintain high level of confidentiality.
