Summary About the Position: Serves as a Human Resources Specialist (Military) at the Army Futures Command (AFC), Futures and Concepts Center, Joint Modernization Command (JMC) Division, Fort Bliss, Texas. This position is covered by a Laboratory Personnel Demonstration Project. This position coveredby this vacancy announcement is a part of STRL Demo Pay Band DE III (GS12/13 equivalent) Responsibilities Execute, and/or coordinate a variety of officer and enlisted military personnel programs/actions. Develop solutions and programs to address emerging issues affecting officer and enlisted personnel. Use military personnel applications such as the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A) and Interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS), Evaluation Entry System (EES) to complete work. Lead a diverse workforce to support personnel manning and management objectives. Recommend changes to established procedures and practices to support organizational goals. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assisting with planning, coordinating, and/or implementing human resources programs; 2) providing interpretation and/or instructions on personnel laws/policies/procedures; and 3) writing or presenting briefings for senior leadership, conferences, workshops, or special committees. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-12 or above]). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and Evaluating Problem Solving Program Management .
